Huriia umbrella holder is designed to secure the umbrella pole during light to moderate rain and wind. It is not meant to be used during heavy winds and storms. The straps provide extra security as needed to keep the holder in place.

In addition, sliding the holder slightly downward keeps the umbrella straight up. This prevents the wind from tilting the umbrella backwards.

Yes once you slide the pole in, it stays secure in the holder. Huriia umbrellas are designed to be lightweight and sturdy, giving you the feeling of comfort during your outdoor activities.

If the pole slides out sideways, it means that the pole it tilted sideways. This happens when top side of the holder is placed too close to the head, allowing the pole to tilt. The holder location will have to be adjusted, and the straps loosened a bit so that the umbrella pole stays upright and not tilted.

If the umbrella slides downwards, it means that the umbrella is too heavy. Huriia does not recommend wearing heaving umbrellas with the holder as takes away the comfort feeling.

The sweet spot is when you find the perfect placement of the holder on your shoulder and upper back. The perfect placement is when the holder is in direct contact with the shoulder and back. The holder can be rotated until this spot is found.
